Wild life Census
- Conducted wildlife census in DNH wildlife sanctuary and Forest areas of Dadra & Nagar Haveli during February 2024.
- The first phase of Census was conducted on 12/02/2024 which covered the Deer enclosures of Dapada-Satmaliya and Luhari.
- The 2nd phase with water hole census was conducted on 15/02/2024 (night) covering all the 45 beats of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
- In the 3rd phase the whole area of Dadra and Nagar Haveli (including Wildlife Sanctuary areas) was covered with 45 beats and Deer enclosures of Dapada-Satmaliya and Luhari which was conducted on 17/02/24.
- As per the census reports, Satmaliya deer enclosure houses 372 spotted deer, 159 Sambhar deer and 3 Nilgai. Luhari deer enclosure houses 92 spotted deer.
